Caroline originally trained as a dancer, winning scholarships to the Royal Ballet School and Merce Cunningham Studios, New York.? She performed with several companies, including The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and ?Cats?in the West End, before injury forced early retirement and a second career as a physiotherapist.? She graduated with a first class Honours degree from Kings College London in 1998,? winning their student prize for clinical excellence.
Following graduation, Caroline worked for four years for the NHS, as well as a stint as physiotherapist for English National Ballet School, before moving into full time private practice in 2002.? In 2009/10 she worked as physiotherapist for Matthew Bourne?s New Adventures Swan Lake at Sadlers Wells theatre and on the Far East leg of their tour.
She is a registered AACP acupuncturist and uses these skills to supplement treatment techniques.? She combines her previous dance experience with her physiotherapy knowledge to analyze and correct posture and muscle imbalances, hence reducing pain and improving performance.
?WHAT CAROLINE’S CLIENTS SAY:
“Caroline is an amazing physiotherapist, and she is the only one I go to see these days. She helped me so much, and with so much sensitivity and care. My body really has changed since I met her; it feels better, lighter, healthier. I highly recommend her to all of my students and dancer friends”.
Hagit Yakira ( dance teacher and performer)
“Caroline is an extremely competent physiotherapist – the best I have encountered – who has prevented me from having recommended surgical intervention over a long period. She has very broad medical knowledge and a lovely positive outlook”
